Nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy. One of the most corrosion-resistant alloys in oxidising and reducing acids, chlorides and wet chlorine; resistant to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking.

01Material Properties
- Resistance across a very wide range of chemical media
- Pitting, crevice and SCC resistance
- Resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding (low C, Si)
- Not hardenable by heat treatment
- Good formability and weldability
02Applications
- Chemical process reactors and agitators
- Flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems
- Pulp bleaching equipment
- Waste incineration plants
- Pharmaceutical and chlor-alkali equipment
03Delivery Condition
- Solution annealed; plate, sheet, bar, tube, welding consumables.
04Heat Treatment
Typical values
- Solution annealing
- 1120 °C; water or rapid air
- Hardening
- Not hardenable by heat treatment
- Post-weld
- No heat treatment required
- Range to avoid
- Prolonged holding at 600–1000 °C (phase precipitation)
Heat treatment cycle (schematic)
