31CrMoV9 Nitriding Steel
1.8519
- EN1.8519
- EN31CrMoV9
- DIN31CrMoV9
Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium nitriding steel. After QT and nitriding it provides 800–950 HV surface hardness with low distortion; used for precision parts subject to wear and fatigue.

01Material Properties
- Surface 800–950 HV after nitriding
- Core Rm 1000–1200 MPa (QT)
- Very low distortion (nitriding at 500–530 °C)
- High fatigue and wear resistance
- Hardness retained up to 500 °C
02Applications
- Extruder screws and barrels
- Gears and gear shafts
- Crank and camshafts
- Mold pins, slides, ejectors
- Hydraulic pump parts
03Delivery Condition
- Quenched and tempered (+QT, 30–36 HRC) or annealed (max. 248 HB); peeled bar.
