  • EN1.4301
  • ENX5CrNi18-10
  • AISI304
  • UNSS30400

The most widely used austenitic stainless steel. Combines good corrosion resistance, formability and weldability at an economical price; the standard for general-purpose stainless applications.

01Material Properties

  • Good general corrosion resistance (atmosphere, food, mild acids)
  • Non-magnetic (slightly magnetic after cold work)
  • Not hardenable by heat treatment
  • Very good formability and deep drawing
  • Good weldability

02Applications

  • Food and beverage equipment
  • Kitchen and appliance components
  • Building and architectural applications
  • Tanks, vessels and piping
  • General machine parts

03Delivery Condition

  • Solution annealed (max. 215 HB); bar, plate, sheet, tube, sections.
