1.2367

  • EN1.2367
  • ENX38CrMoV5-3

Hot work tool steel with better high-temperature properties than 1.2343 and 1.2344, available in ESR or EFS quality with improved cleanliness and toughness.

01Material Properties

  • Superior hot strength and temper resistance
  • High creep resistance
  • Adequate thermal shock resistance
  • High toughness and ductility
  • Weldability
  • Easy machining
  • Hardenable up to 54 HRC by heat treatment
  • Recommended working hardness 42–48 HRC
  • Good nitriding response
  • Suitable for coating

02Applications

  • All dies and tooling operating at particularly high temperatures
  • Inserts, cores and core pins in the hottest die areas
  • Aluminium extrusion dies and dies under severe conditions, against deformation
  • Aluminium extrusion backers, bolsters, rings, stems, dummy blocks
  • Hot forging dies and inserts against premature softening and hot wear
  • High-performance die casting shot sleeves
  • Sleeve counterparts in die casting
  • Upper and lower dies in low-pressure die casting
  • Weld rolls in tube and profile manufacturing

03Delivery Condition

  • 230 HB, soft annealed
