03Delivery Condition
- 240 HB, soft annealed
04Heat Treatment
Typical values
- Soft annealing
- 680–720 °C; max. 230 HB
- Stress relieving
- 600–650 °C
- Preheating
- 650 °C and 850 °C
- Hardening
- 980–1030 °C; 15–30 min
- Quenching medium
- Oil, pressurised gas or air
- As-quenched hardness
- ≈ 60–62 HRC
- Tempering
- 180–250 °C → 58–60 HRC or 500–550 °C (secondary) → 56–58 HRC
- Working hardness
- 56–60 HRC
- Coating
- High-temperature tempering for PVD
